Ann and Anthony Buckton established Copper Street Brewery in Dorchester in 2018 bringing brewing back to Dorset's historic county town.

As the new owners of Copper Street Brewery, Alistair and Tina Burrell we are continuing the legacy that Ann and Anthony Created.

We look forward to moving the business on, whilst continuing to create all the brews that you all love and eventually introduce some new recipes.

New Beginnings

It all began over our first pint of Shield Maiden, At the April 2022 beer festival at Copper Street.

We sat outside; the sun sun was shining, the atmosphere was infused with the sounds of the Vinyl Van and the smell of hot pizza drifted in the air.

   Sitting at the last remaining table ,we were joined by a group, who upon chatting, discovered had a passion for the Copper Street Brewery Real Ale.

   To start, Shield Maiden, with its ginger and Lemon Grass flavours, One sip was all took before we both looked at each other "that was lovely" I said "I wonder if we can get this for the wedding"

    Obviously, we had to try all the beers first, it would be rude not to! They were all lovely and we began to understand the hype. We were hooked!

   So here we are, now, at the beginning of this wonderful journey at Copper Street Brewery.

  We look forward to greeting you all, when we re-open 1st March, with smiling faces and all your favorite beers (perhaps even some new ones...)
